About Yanet Leija

Yanet Leija is a Rio Grande Valley native. She began to pursue a career in the medical field as a Registered Nurse graduating in 2009 from South Texas College. She went on to pursue a bachelor’s in nursing graduating from University of Texas in Brownsville 2011. Yanet went on to obtain a master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016 from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Then further advancing her knowledge obtaining an Emergency and Trauma care post-graduate specialty from the University of Texas Health Science Houston in 2020. Yanet's passion of helping others has allowed her to serve the general population of the Rio Grande Valley in emergency, urgent and family practice settings.
